I had one like that in .22 Magnum. I used the standard grips and carried it in my left front trousers pocket as my third gun.

I carried either a 1911 .45 ACP or a M625 .45 ACP on my right hip, a Colt Cobra 2" nickel .38 special on the inside of my left ankle and the NAA in pocket carry. I also had several knives. This, plus the usual walkie-talkie, handcuffs, extra mags or speedloaders, pepper spray, and baton made for a heavy Sam Browne load.

Kin you tell I worked in a rough town?

I have one of the 22lr versions. I got it for under a hundred bucks. I have loaded it with CCI snake shot and dropped it in my watch pocket when out mowing (for snakes).....it must work REALLY well....I haven't seen a single snake when it has been in my pocket

Here is a useful tool for the mini's..It is a small flat tip screwdriver, with a pocket clip, and I cut off the slotted end..
It works great for a ram rod to help eject the spent rounds out of the cylinder..You can use the shaft that keeps the cylinder in place, but I didn't want to damage that..

I have one, got it used at a little LGS by me for a C note, 22 mag. Not a huge fan, only shot it a couple times to try it out.

And yeah.. hard to tell it from my other guns sometimes.

I bought a Mini in .22LR kinda as a novelty (bought both models of belt buckle) and also for my younger g-kids (bought an aftermarket flap holster) so they could be armed when our family hits the woods. Didn't want them to feel left out as some of us carry sidearms when out and about hiking, rappelling, fishing/hunting, roaming the woods, etc, etc.
My g-son is 5 and carries it unloaded for the most part. He fits right in now. Don't wanna give him some kinda complex.

I have and have carried a Wasp in 22mag every day since April as a backup and occasional primary (when hugs are anticipated) to my 640 38spl. It is my favorite NAA.

Stay safe, John

Default PUG

I have the Pug version with the front night sight in .22 mag. Carry it every day. It shoots good, and is better than nothing at all when my regular CCW can't come along. They're well made little guns.

I carried this little Freedom Arms .22 mag. for years as a hide out gun when in uniform. Surprisingly accurate, well made, and much better than the proverbial "sharp stick to the eye".

I have never owned one, shot one many years ago. I always liked the idea of a tiny GOM ( Get Off Me ), I usually carry a derringer as a GOM. For the people that use and shoot them often I have 2 questions. 1) Does the 22 lr hit to the same spot as 22 mag? 2)Does the 1 5/8 bbl vs 1 1/8 barrel make any difference in ease/location of carry, or is either bbl length better balanced?? Be Safe,

Default 22 NAA revolver

Had one years ago when I was still in uniform. Used to carry it in my left front shirt pocket. I never took it home though because I was afraid that my kids would think that it was a toy.

Mine as pictured in the OP is a 1&1/8th " model..When switching out the lr cylinder to the mag, as to hitting the same spot ? No noticeable accuracy between the two..Both are not very accurate at distances over 30 feet..However with the larger magnum grips, shown as well, they are more consistent with groupings..But the pistol with the magnum grips sort of defeat the purpose of a mini..
The lr/magnum models cylinders are longer than just the lr model, if that is a concern..
These pistols are designed to point and shoot 5 times, then throw the pistol at the intruder..It takes minutes to reload..
Due to the size, it is very hard to aim accurately, so I don't even try to use the sights..
If nothing else, the gals at the range think they are "cute"..

I have one in .22LR and sometimes I realize I haven't shot it in a year or two and I get it out and shoot a cyl. or two. Then I realize why I haven't shot it in a year or two and I put it back up. Larry

Years ago I had a pair of them, in 22LR. I had a little plastic sandwich container that I filled with styrofoam and cut indentations for each gun and a couple of cylinders full of ammo. Made a nice 'picnic surprise' rig. I made the mistake of shooting them at a target; the standard 25 yd pistol target, about two feet square. Range was 11 yards. I shot two cylinders full from each revolver. I still had a pristine target. I sold both of them.

I bought a 22 LR many years back. It was for rattlers when I metal detected in the Sierras. Loaded with 2 snake shot & 3 LR hollow points it never failed me. Great little guns for that & safe also.

Same problem as with the Kel-Tec P32 I owned briefly. Littile bitty guns don't work with largish, very arthritically clumsy hands and long fingers. I can't shoot them worth a damn. A watch-pocket gun would be nice enough, I guess, if I could hit a parked bus with it.

As a 3rd gun, yes.
Nice for a finish shot on game , yes.
Some LEO wear it on a neck chain as a last chance.
Just please don't put a laser and bayonet on it.

I have the .22LR NAA, I keep it in my pocket while mowing the grass and also while walking my dog; my area has a few water-moccasin snakes that get too close sometimes.

Wife carries one in .22 mag some times. Some women's jeans have crazy small front pockets and that is the only thing that will work in them.

I had one. The bore was drilled off center in the barrel, making the point of aim and the point of impact not in the same general area. Also, I once had it in my pocket, bumped it with a hammer handle, and shot a hole in my pocket.

I believe they were a good idea, but in my experience, poorly executed.

I'd like to try one of the Freedom Arms mini revolvers.

I've got one in 22 Mag. I carry it on a chain around my neck. It's my "Get off me" tertiary gun.

As stated the last time the subject came up, "It's for removing the other guy's ear wax."

They have a Lifetime warranty, all it would have taken is a phone call to NAA, they would have sent you a shipping label..
I have only heard of one occurrence where the pistol discharged as you described ..Yes you cock the hammer and pull the trigger, it's going to go boom,,
For those that don't know or not familiar to these pistols, there is a drop safety..There are notches on the cylinder between the cartridges to place the hammer..Thus no round directly in line with the barrel..
I am not a fan of carrying any pocket pistol without the trigger covered..
Here is mine, with the Magnum grips..

This is how it went into my pocket. During the course of a day's work, I do not know what transpired to ready it for firing, but I do know the end result. I'm not blaming the manufacturer. I no longer own the gun. It wasn't for me.

I have one, carried it as last ditch back up for a little while. Having to qualify with it was a pain in the hand. Decided to upgrade to a Beretta Tomcat. Now have a Colt Mustang for that purpose.

It beats a sharp stick, but even 25 rounds with 22 mag was not pleasant.

I do not question your circumstances and the outcome..In my opinion, when pocket carrying with nothing covering the trigger, bad things can happen..Plus with the NAA trigger with no trigger guard, it could be discharged if cocked and the trigger depressed..
The culprit could be tighter pocket's than should be used, or not..
Even my S&W 642 is carried in a pocket holster..All my Glocks carried OWB in a Kydex holster have the trigger covered..
There are handmade sheath holsters and one from NAA, that would solve the AD problem..
you were lucky they don't make a NAA revolver in 44 mag..Just kidding..

They're not perfect, require the care/attention that should be shown with any firearm, but what could be bad about a gun that can fit in your pocket? I would not, however, display it as a threat. Too small.

A similar photo has been around for quite some time, I always thought it was photoshopped, but I found out it was real..This pic of one I have had for a few years..

Due to the cylinder length the top one is a 22 lr and the bottom is a 22 mag configuration..Different grips also..

I have owned one since sometime in the 80s (22mag/22lr) I bought it at the Constable (cant believe I remember that) in surburbs of Chicago paid 98 bucks new I had a friend that had one so monkey see monkey do. I have never shot it I remember shooting his and the mag was a handful
A couple years ago I came across the 22short version it was St Pattys day, I bought it and told Daughter and Girl friend it was my Leprechaun gun. It fits and I still call it that today
They have a purpose

I have a NAA Pug Magnum. I'll usually throw it in my front pocket in a Ragsdale holster when I take my dog out for a walk in the morning and evening. It's actually pretty accurate since the Pug has pretty good sights, once you get used to the trigger. The picture is from my first range trip when I first got it. Only shot it out to a distance of 5 yards or so. I figured I would never need it beyond that range. When I leave my neighborhood and venture out into the real world I take my S & W 640 Pro.

I own a couple, and I really like them. It is easy to forget you have one on you, though.

Someday I'll do a thread of my own about how this one went from this:

To this:

It wasn't me, and it all worked out in the end, but I could have done without the additional grey hairs.
