I 'm a peep sight nut, I have on all my low- vel. Guns. I recently
picked up Parker Hale 9, tang type. Tang is short 1 1/2", 2 screw
holes. After extensive looking, I can't find out what it's for. Not
Martini or Enfield. I think it has to be for hammer less or side
hammer. Not hi enough to clear center hammer. Anybody up
on these?

Perhaps an SMLE?

SMLE is a Enfield , bolt action 303 Brit. Sight is tang type n/a
on bolt action. No way to use any type adapter plates as on other
PH models. Sight does have the adj iris type aperture, with yellow glass filter.
