Colt/King/Roper
I just found a 1937 Colt Woodsman with King sights and weight tube. The grips are identical to a set identified on another site as Ropers. They have the ribbon, but not the scalloped borders or jig holes. Opinions?

Wow!
That is a awsome package. The grips look like Ropers to me, but I'm not a expert. I absolutely love King modified guns, his work is first class.
Great find & thanks for sharing!

I think they were made in the Roper style. The checkering and ribbon do not look like original Roper work to me

They look alot like the Ropers on the Straight Line that Ernie Rice bought at the Columbus meeting this past June. I think they are Ropers.
