Kind of an ill-informed article. The writer states polymer is not durable (tell that to Glock owners), and that it is safe to fire a steel framed pistol with a cracked barrel, but not so a gun with a polymer frame...

Not exactly a great scientific paper, is it? Way too many "Some people say...." and "Most people...." type statements and few real FACTS. The only remotely real problem is a polymer frame is less resistant to a case blowout than a steel frame. Even then the added vulnerability varies according to the design of the gun and the nature of the blowout.

Several parts just describe people's preferences. Big deal. Some guys prefer redheads to blondes, but it hardly affects the rotation of the Earth.

That read like an essay for 10th grade English class.

I never realized "that polymer guns don't feel cold to the touch like steel guns do." What a revelation. This is where I stopped reading the article and began to rearrange my sock drawer. Wow what a story.

This is undoubtedly one of the most poorly written articles I've ever read. I suppose it might mean something to someone who believes everything they read on the Internet. But really...this is a prime example of a no-data-no-research-no-source article. It's more of an op-ed piece.

I'm no big polymer fan, but this is just a stupid piece that I wasted time and a couple of mouse-clicks to read. All it basically says is that the problem with polymer-frame pistols is that they're polymer-frame pistols.

It's not an article. It's an opinion piece, treat it as such.
