I don't know if anyone noticed in the pics, but my 94 has a Pachmayr Deccelerator already installed...and nicely done too. Comparing side by side with other 94s with factory butt pads its clear to me the stock was not cut for the new recoil pad.

That along with the big loop lever leads me to believe it is likely to been fired at least a little bit. But no big deal anyway because I already have.

Congratulations on getting the big bore. And regardless of price I think you got a good deal. I love mine and with the dark blue and checkered wood. Since I got mine I haven't seen another at our local shows either the winny or marlin. I recently bought the lyman gas checked mold for a 375 bullet and hopefully will get some boolits cast for it. Some lever actions to me are a take it or leave kind of thing. 444 marlin, 375win,30-30,357 mag and 44 mag. Think that pretty much rounds out the lot. I'm an ex new yorker who moved to Louisiana years ago. Kinda saw the handwriting on the wall back then and am glad I did. Was going to live on Pennsylvania but couldn't see myself shoveling snow in my so called golden years. You might want to think about casting boolits for the 375 before they outlaw that. If they haven't done so already. Frank

Hello All. New guy here. A year later and I have done the same thing.
Maybe everyone should have a 94. Mine is a BB010xxx. So I am in the 375 Winchester brass market. I am wondering if one of the kind offers of brass are still out there and could be extended my way. Not looking for a gift, Christmas was a week ago. Thanks.

I have some loaded ammo that is marked----IHMSA---375 SM
This ammo came in a box that I bought at an auction.
Does anyone know about this caliber?

It's already been stated, but Donnelley's case forming manual says .375 Win cases can be fire-formed from .30-30 brass. I don't know about reloading dies, but I'd guess .38-55 dies should work OK.

Or, one could buy new Starline short (2.080")38-55 brass and just shorten it by .06".

but with the concerns for the thin walls of 33-30 & 38-55, why aren't 32 Winchester Special cartridge cases fire-formed instead ?

Default Online Ammo Purchases in NY

The NY Safe Act prevents direct online ammo sales to individuals. However, the ammo may be shipped to an FFL and many local FFLs are accepting ammo shipments for residents, for about $10.00 per transaction.

However, some ammo retailers don't understand the law or fear getting into legal difficulty with it an simply won't ship to NYS.

I don't understand why the concern about .30-30 thin walls (if indeed the walls are thin - I don't know that they are). The case is fully supported in the .375 chamber, so what do you think could happen?

Thanks everyone and Happy New Year. Previous posts said the 375 handles 10,000 CPU more than the 30-30. I presume that means thinner case walls. My concern is getting a proper crimp, through the "thinner" case wall, for bullet retention.
