Default Poor Man's Python

I just picked this up from a local and I wanted to post this beauty here on the forum. A Trooper "357" 1st gen from 1968. I cannot believe the action and finish. I was searching out a smith and what pops up, a poor mans python! Good enough for me.

Here's a video you might enjoy to go along with your Trooper.

Very nice. I don't have any Colt handguns, but I'm not sure why. That's a pretty one.

The handy work of Karl R. Lewis when he worked for Colt, along with the M79 grenade launcher, the Dan Wesson interchangeable barrels and a number of other firearm designs.

My first revolver was a pre-MkIII Trooper. I foolishly sold it to a co-worker when he went to Nam. When he returned, he wouldn't sell it back. I went for years, until two years ago, before I grabbed another. The one I have now is from 1966, and the action is every bit as smooth as my three Pythons.

You have a very fine revolver there, and I love those stocks. They really look good on that blue revolver.

Enjoy!

I'm an S&W guy through and through, but my Trooper(in 4") is my favorite 357 Magnum handgun.

They're 90% of a Python at 1/3 or less of the price.

That's a pretty one.

Mine is a well worn one from 1965 or 66 IIRC.

I like the look of the early Troopers and yours is a clean one. Give us a range report when you take it out for some exercise. Larru
