Colt police positive 32 snub
Local shop has two of these in very good condition. Serial numbers about 1000 apart, 5 digit starting 25xxx. Anyone have any idea of approx age and value? These have sq. Butts, and the squared cylinder latch. Bluing is very good with only minor marks.
I'm primarily interested in Smiths, but the might be hard to pass on at the price he's asking....thanks.

Here is a colt serial number lookup site. There are other resources like this out there
http://www.colt.com/CustomerServices...berLookup.aspx
I suppose when I give someone a link I should actually include the link

I'll add the missing link. I checked proofhouse serial# tables and came up empty for Colt P.P. 32 with a 5 digit# starting with 25
Here's the link, but I find the tables quite confusing with so many similar models.

Thanks guys. It looks like both were made in 1905. I bought them both even though, after closer examination I could tell they were reblued at some time. They'll make nice little shooters and with the way colt prices are I can probably get my money back if I want to.

If these are .32s, they are the "New Police" model which evolved into the Police Positive circa 1907.
Please post pics!!
