Yes they are. I guess that fact, in addition to the looks and design is what lead me to CRK in the first place. When I first started getting into collecting and using different blades I kept seeing posts on the knife forums about the "Sebenza". Had no idea what a "Sebenza" was but there sure were a lot of folks buying and talking about it.
After getting mine I suddenly knew what it was they were talking about and why. I'm not privy how others make their blades but CRK explains how they do it and the extreme tolerances they exact in the production. There is a two part, shop tour video on youtube were Mr. Reeve talks about the tolerances they adhere to being on par with or surpassing those used in the aerospace industry. IRRC something along the lines of 3/10,000ths of an inch or a third of one 10,000ths. What ever it was it was pretty small and way less than the width of a human hair.
Does a knife really need to be built to that degree of perfection? IMHO no, it doesn't but just knowing they want to build a product that well tells me they are serious even passionate about their products.
