and one of Fabrique National's oldest handguns...The Model 1900 7.65! The 1900 was made from 1900 - 1912; this particular one is supposedly a WWII GI Bringback; paperwork not available; however the Vet lightly scratched his name on the right side of the frame. It came with 2 magazines; supposedly one of the earlier magazines, and it has been said on one forum the magazine may be worth as much as I paid for the gun! Without further adieu, here it is:

Very Nice!!!! These are great shooters too! There is little felt recoil due to the barrel design and they are pretty accurate as well.

I have read that JM Browning always carried this gun in his pocket while taking "walks" while at home in Utah. Suppose
to be very accurate. I've had a few, but never had one that
was that accurate. They did cycle like a Swiss watch.

One of the golden oldies I'd love to own.

Thats an interesting pistol. The design reminds me of my S&W 422. From the photos, it looks like the chamber and ejection port are below the slide...It must have an interesting history. I think the Axis troops were using any type of handgun they could get...Thanks for sharing that.

About a 1913 production I'd guess.

The 3 hole magazine is actually for an early mfg FN Model 1899 Pistol.

The 1899 FN is a nearly identical pistol in appearance and function. But there were enough short comings in the 1899 Model that when it was put before the Belgian Gov't for possible adoption,,they said they liked it but wanted some mods done. The result was the Model 1900.
Oddly, both models were manufactured for a short time.

The magazines interchange between the two Models.
The 3 view hole magazine was made for the earliest Model 1899.
Later 1899Models and the 1900 Model used a 6 view hole mag. The difference betw the two being the hole size. 5mm in the 1899 and 4mm in the 1900 mag.
