Brought home a Classic
I went to the GunShow this weekend. Wasn't really looking for anything in particular. Basicly just gettin' out of the house for a while.
I'm sure all of us have a list of guns we've always liked, admired and certianly wouldn't mind owning. But, for whatever reason, we just never got around to buying. The gun I bought falls into this catagory.
Oh, I've seen plenty of them at gun shows before. But they were always the stainless version, which frankly does nothing for me. They're almost always overpriced too.
Then I saw this blue one. You know, I can't even remember the last time a saw one of these in the blued finish. And there it sat, LNIB. I mean there's not a mark on it anywhere. Box, docs, cleaning rod, but unfortunately the 2nd magazine was missing.
Oh, I was sorely tempted. Of course it didn't help that my friend with me kept saying "You'll never find another one in that good of condition again."
In the end, I just couldn't help myself. So here tis.......
Walther PPK/S. 380.
Its an Interarms gun, best I can tell it was made in the early 1980s. I'm happy!
The name is Fox....... Gray Fox

Great find. Congratulations! Aways wanted one myself, but they are prohibited up here in Canada due to barrel length. Unless you have a grandfathered license you can't own one.

Congrats, I've carried an Interarms stainless off and on for years.
Need to find a blue one.

Nice find.
I just picked up a stainless version from a buddy at work for $300. Mine dates to the early 90's. He had it stolen a few years ago and it was just recovered a few months ago. The finish was pinkish from whatever they used to process it for fingerprints (or so I'm assuming). It cleaned-up ok.
The PPK is one of the few guns I've never owned (wish my was blued). I found mine can be finicky with ammo and prefers hotter loadings.
Anyway, enjoy your new gun.

The PPK/S has been in the margin of my list for a long time. I doubt I'd pass up a good deal on one. Especially now that my EDC is a 380.
Nice grab. We all need friends like yours.
You should be very happy with your new gun. I'd love to hear a range report.

Nice. When I read the title, I immediately thought of a PPK or a Hi-Power.

Well how about that. Had one just like it. Sold it back in the 1980's when those new fangled CD music players came out so I could buy a real nice one for my stereo system. Still have the CD player. Hardly ever use it.
Can't say I really regret selling it since in that same time frame I bought a 2 1/2 inch model 66 for off duty and court. And yes, I still have that one. But the PPK/S was fun to own and shoot.
For what it is worth, bought my PPK/S (Interarms) new in 1982 for $295.31. No clue what I sold it for but probably about that same amount.
Enjoy!
