Default Walther PPQ M2

I recently purchased this Walther PPQ M2 9 MM. This has the best trigger pull of any polymer gun I have fired. The trigger reset is very short.

Looks as if it's nice ergonomically. How is it for accuracy and reliability? How are the sights?

Nice! Did you also look at the HK VP9? I hear they are very similar.

I have not seen HK. Sights are 3 white dot easy to see. Most of break in rounds at 10 yards of less. Ate the center out of 5.5 inch orange peel target. I shot 70 rounds not failure to feed, stove pipes, etc.
Trigger takes a little to get used to not sure where 1st round went !!

Nice pick up. I own a M1 version that I picked up last year. I agree with you about the trigger. It is slick with a nice short reset. It is extremely shootable.

For those that are looking for a comparison to the HK VP9 they are on par with the HK in terms of build quality. IMHO the sights are the weak point of the PPQ. They are plastic but they work. I will replace them down the road with night sights.

The HKs trigger is not as good as the PPQ to me. HK is heavier but breaks consistently and has good take up. The PPQ is just slick. I sometimes refer to it as the 1911 of poly guns. This is a subjective opinion and to be honest both guns are highly shootable and are huge improvements over my Glock 19.

The ergos are similar and they are so close and ergos are so subjective it is impossible for me to say one is better than the other. You will find some people who say one is better than another. I call it a push. One thing to remember that all the HKs have the paddle releases while the PPQ comes in two versions. The M1 or Classic with the paddle and the M2 with the button. Again this is more of a preference thing not a one is universally better than the other. One advantage of the paddle is it is fully ambi for those lefties and if there is a tactical need.

If I were in the market for a new striker ploy pistol these would be at the top of my list.

That is a nice Walther. We have a PPQ and a H&K VP9 here and both are great pistols.

Both pistols have excellent triggers.
