Default Manhurin MR73

Aim just got in a boatload of these 357 revolvers used by the French police. Priced from the low 4's to the mid 5's.
Opinions on quality? Value?

For that price range, you could pick up a new Ruger or Taurus, with warranty, made in the US........

They're excellent quality, generally considered more durable than other brands and designed for a steady diet of magnum loads. Then again, if they're used, you don't know what has been put through them for how long. If the price were right compared to the condition, I'd certainly be interested in acquiring one, mostly out of curiosity and technical/historical interest; there's no question about the quality of the brand, and a Taurus is certainly not in the same league.

Someone got a nice deal on the 4" gun with target sights. They look nicer then some of the others I've seen for sale. Larry

Do I remember correctly that the design is based on the Ruger Six series revolvers?

No, these are the deluxe line. Those based on the Ruger were F-1 Police and the similar MR-88, also probably very good guns.
