Default SW COMPETITOR

I'am Michel from France.

Usualy I collect only SW and Webley, but this time I buy a SW competitor: a Moore revolver.

I hope I'am in the good place for this post but I don't find a Moore's forum ...

The revolver I buy is in very good condition: 100 % of the silver on barrel and cylinder and 95 % on frame.

Perfect working order, probably unfired and engraved.

The engraving are the high quality.

My question is if this kind of high quality engraving is rare or curent for this model ?

And maybe you have a idea for the value in the USA ?

Thanks for your help.

If I remember correctly, I have not seen one without frame engraving, but not many with the cylinder engraved. It may well be factory, but the cylinder engraving does not seem to match the frame??

I believe these were "teat fire" revolvers in 32 caliber and available, starting near the end of the American Civil War. There is some additional information in the links below.

Hi Gary,

the number is 35X.

I don't find a number on the cylinder but it seem very homogeneous, but your right the style is quite different.

Thanks for the links.
