Gen 2 Glock 22
Hi all,
Thinking about picking up a gen 2 Glock 22...my LGS has a bunch of LEO trade-ins in stock. They're going for $399. I already have a full size 9mm in the Beretta 92FS and also have the Shield in 40SW, so thought it might make sense to overlap my current 40 with the 22 to consolidate ammo. Whatdaya' think? Anyone have any experience good/bad with this pistol. Is it worth picking up? They appear to be in pretty good shape.
Thanks!

I carried one for many years. Totally and utterly reliable. I'm not a Glock affectioniatto, but if I was allowed to purchase that one I would have.

The price seems high for a second generation G22 LE trade in..
Most LE trade ins , as described, are going for a little over 300 bucks..Most of the LE trade ins have night sights, most likely dim or dead..
Box, papers, how many mag's...

I liked mine a lot--absolutely reliable, and soft-shooting for a .40. I wish I still had it, revolver guy though I am; but I was in a crunch and needed the money.

Outside of MA that price is high...I got a like new gen 2 a couple of months ago for $359.00 ant that was with two full size mags plus 3 10 round mags...but that was in Georgia. In MA that is probably a good price

I was issued a Gen 2 Glock 22 for several years. It ranks right up there with the best combat pistols ever produced. When we transitioned to the Glock 30 (.45), I had the chance to buy my G22 and did so without giving it a second thought.

Agree 100%. I have one of these in the safe right now. Have carried it some. It's a great shooter and a gun I'd have no qualms about staking my life on.

I had one
It was not my favorite caliber, but fifteen rounds of 180 grain ammo and night sights made hikes in the mountains more relaxing. I prefer the gen. II frame and have no need for a rail. This is a very good pistol.
A local LE shop has these for $299.99.

I am 46 years old. The first gun I ever purchased, at the age of 22, was a Glock 22 Gen 2. I still have it and it has never given me one problem. Being that it was my first, I will most likely have it until I die. Still have the original box, papers, cleaning stuff etc.

Not a bad price for a gun that may have less than 20K through it.... Not to mention that Glocks really dont have many parts that wear out....
