Default is this a clone?

Dear friends i have an small collection of guns and i need your expert help for identyfing a revolver, is this a clon of SW and which gunmaker was. I would appreciate very much your help

No legible markings on the barrel or rib?

The conformation and grip logo look like an 1878 Marlin.

The gun is a model 1878 Marlin, .38 Cal. The grips are not Marlin, however, probably from a Meridan revolvers the grip logo is not a Marlin used logo. Ed.

Thanks a lot ! No legible markings..i found a 1887 model with the same grip, but not any meridian like this. Thanks again for your help im starting to learn about old revolvers.
