Default New Shotgun

There was a gunshow in town and due to the snow this morning, the crowd was sparse. I have been looking for a Franchi 48 in 20 gauge. I found one several years ago and gave it to a young friend in South Dakota who took a shine to it. There was one there with a vent rib, chokes and nib. The box showed some wear and the paper work was missing and I think I got a good deal on it.

Looking forward to next Fall and a chance to try it out. I hunted with the previous one and like the light weight and quickness. I may ask my young friend if he wants to trade barrels as he might appreciate having the extra chokes available.

Those are great guns......would love to see some pics.

BTW, if it were me I would keep the barrel and choke tubes that came with it instead of trading for what I'm assuming is a fixed choke barrel.

Default 48s

There is big difference in quality on 48s. The older ones imported
by Stogers were the best. FIE had them for awhile and quality
and fit went down. I haven't seen or worked on any recently
so I can't give opinion on newest ones.
