Default New Blade New Leather

Just got this Monday it's a Dwayne Carrillio mod.6 I Wish, it's a copy but done well. My Smith got a new shoe from EPS just a nice fitting thing! Cross draw, fish scales and all.

I wonder how Mr. Carrillo feels about those copies/clones.

His business took a (literal) hit from a tornado, and he's struggling to keep the lights on, all while making good on back orders.

I wonder how Tio Sam feels about copies of his Tom Threepersons holster.

Really, it's a good looking holster but is there something special or personal about Mr. Carrillo's model 6 holster?

I will just pop up some popcorn and see which direction this thread goes out of a number of possibilities. In the meantime, I won't be spending $175 on the replica knife, much less $1200 for the genuine article.

I wasn't referencing the holster; the knife is what's at issue here.

Call it what you will: copy, clone, tribute, or counterfeit - it is taking money away from a hard-working craftsman after an already devastating blow from Mother Nature.
