My wife buys me stuff without my knowledge because she likes it and thinks I will too. A Bushmaster carbine, a PMR30, stuff I probably wouldn't have bought for myself but still enjoy immensely. She shoots, rides motorcycles and mountain bikes, works out at the gym 4 mornings a week, camps, supports my hunting even though she doesn't (she just likes to eat those critters), and never complains about gun stuff. In fact recently she said that if I found a good deal on bulk ammo she would go in on it. Hard to beat that...

For us in our early years...... every other paycheck went into the "Corporate (house) account" (you will need to determine the amount necessary to cover monthly and other shared expenses including auto and home/renters Insurance so it may be more than one out of two paychecks..... maybe 2 of 3 or 3 of 4 )....

The other check was "ours"........ but each of you should not forget to set aside some of that for the proverbial "rainy day" ( 3-6 months of expense reserve makes "s--- happens" events easier to live with) and put some (10-15%) away for retirement.
Another Dave Ramsey fan? Great advice!

I remember when the Shields were hard to find and I had been calling LGS to see if anyone had one. I finally found one in a nearby town at an indoor range. We went there and I went inside to see it and my wife stayed in the car. When I got by in the car she had several travelers checks in her hand and said I have these if you want to buy it. She has always been like that with anything I might want.
