Which 9mm Carbine
I'm going to purchase a 9mm carbine (my first AR platform) and have narrowed it down to the CMMG MK9, Colt 6951, and full JP GMR13. The CMMG is attractive due to a good reputation and price (I can purchase one for less than $900), the Colt has a good reputation (about $1,250), the JP a great reputation but expensive (close to $2,000 if I'm not mistaken). I understand the advantages of going with a .223, but I'll be able to shoot the 9mm more due to range restrictions. I'd appreciate your comments regarding the advantages and disadvantages of these carbines. I don't want to buy at the low end and regret it. Thanks in advance, Dr.J

The Colt will retain value but the CMMG will work just as well. Before you buy, look at the Olympic in 45acp - I got one recently and that thing is a lot of fun to shoot!

It's too bad that more gun manufacturers don't appreciate that.

I've been happy with the Beretta CX4 Storm since they were introduced.....
less than 30 inches with a Burris red dot one hole accurate out to 50 yds...... and GTG as a PDW out to 80-100yds. (currently have 2)
Uses the same magazines as my 92s from 15 to 30 rounds ...... the Mec-gar 18 and 20 are the most convenient.
Edit: While as far as I know; the Italian Police still use another Beretta 9mm submachine gun..... Beretta now makes a short barreled full auto version of the Storm which is used by the Indian National Police..... with th3 30 rd factory magazines.
If you are into 3rd Gen Smiths........Marlin made a 9mm that used Smith magazines........
Try to avoid a gun that uses proprietary magazines

The CX4 is a great bargain for a gun the works very well. But I have never owned one. I have a CMMG in 300blk that I shoot suppressed and love it. Good brand.
