Red face Need great wisdom--have you got some?

Dear Forum members,

You guys seems to know where to get parts for anything. Can you help me find rotary magazines for a Ruger Mark 2 77 rifle in a Swedish Mauser 6/5 by 55 caliber? I'd like to get 2 or 3 for a present depending on cost.

Did you try Ruger? They sell parts direct to the public, have good service and prompt shipping.

I went to their website first. Maybe I didn't navigate it correctly, but I didn't see anything for out of production guns.

Maybe I've missed something but the only rotary magazines I am
aware of Ruger making for bolt actions have been for pistol cartridges
used in the 77/44 and 77/357. I have three Ruger 77 MKII rifles and
that model is a conventional non detachable hinged floorplate bolt
action. I have never heard of any Ruger detachable rotary magazines
in centerfire rifle cartridges.

Maybe that's why I can't find any; I'll ask. I thought they were all configured the same.

Ruger 10/22 semi auto rifles were designed to use the rotary
magazines as were their compact bolt action rifles. The
77/22, 77/44 and 77/357 bolt actions use them. I believe
their unpopular 96/44 lever action used them also. The
77 MKII is their standard bolt action made for several
"high powered" centerfire rifle cartridges. It is a CRF,
controlled round feed, design wih Mauser like features. The
way it feeds rounds from the magazine is incompatable with
the rotary magazine they use for other guns. You can't find
any because there isn't any.

.22 Hornet. Also the new Ruger American rifle uses a rotary magazine for some calibers.

Yeah I knew that the Compact bolt action had been offered
in 22 Hornet but I didn't think about it at the time. It was
also sold in 22Mag and one of the 17 calibers I believe. I
knew the American Rifle used detachable magazines but I
haven't paid much attention to that rifle and didn't know
what kind they were. From what i've read on the Ruger forum
there have been some real feeding problems with some of
the American's magazines. But the 77 MKII is an entirely
different design and chambers full length rifle cartridges
and is in no way readily adaptable to the rotary magazines
and that's the model the OP asked about.

I have a 44 carbine (semi auto) that uses a rotary magazine......
It's the one that looks like a fat boy mini 14.
