Saw one in .38 with the full King target conversion. The gun was said to have abt 98% of the blue left. What would be a fair price for one? Larry

That's a tough one, King guns are either a plus or a negative depending on the collector. I personally feel they are a big plus due to there custom features, rarity & overall coolness so I pay a premium for them. (Often I pay way too much )
There are more Colt King Modified guns than others so I would pay a little less for a Colt than say a S&W. My opinion on value would be $1000-1200, maybe a little to a lot more depending on features ( King Hammer, Stocks, original box etc.) or if I really wanted it. They are awsome guns & I prize each one in my collection.

It would probably be abt 1600 by the time I pay to ship and receive it at my FFL. Love the look of them, just didn't know the price area they are in. Larry
