Default SIG 1911 .45ACP Nitron Rail

This thing is amazingly accurate. I am totally digging it.
Personalized it with some nice custom grips from Esmeralda.

Very nice. I like the Sigs. I was looking at a Scorpion the other day.

I ended up finding a great deal on a Kimber a few days ago instead.
Just as you did, I need to get some custom grips for it though.

Nice Kimber there and I'm glad you brought this up.
I was seriously looking into them but was dissuaded by the notion (or myth) that they are very finicky about ammo?

If I were to buy a new 1911, it would be the Sig. The owner where I work has a Sig target model with Knill grips and it is one awesome gun. Larry

This is my second Kimber. The other one is a Kimber Classic Target II. They are pretty much identical except for the sights and the rail. I have not had any issues with it at all. It's probably had about 3000 rounds through it so far, most of which have been hand loaded 185gr or 200gr LSWC along with 500-600 rounds of 230gr ball ammo. It will typically put everything in the 10 ring at 25 yards if I do my part. I have run some HPs through it but, not much. (Again, no issues).

I would like to get a Sig but I came across this Kimber used from a private party. It had less then 300 rounds through it. Since I really liked the first one I was pretty comfortable getting another. I still want a Sig though. I like the Scorpion, the Scorpion Emperor, the Nightmare, and a few others. (Pretty much all of them). Maybe next time. I also have a Ruger SR1911 and a compact RIA that I'm quite happy with. Although the fit and finish on the Rock leaves a little to be desired. ( Nice for the price though).

All I can say is that since I've owned mine, right out of the box I have yet to have a single FTF or FTE. Using Remington UMC MC 230 gr. BTW.
