Colt Officer's Model Special
Just thought I'd post a picture of one of my favorite bullseye guns. The Officer's Special was made from 1949-1952 and only 10,000 were made. 6,000 being in 38 special as is mine and 4,000 in 22.
This was pre Python days and Colt wanted to put out an premium and accurate target revolver. These guns are well finished and smooth as butter. One of the most accurate revolvers I own.
The market on these is still reasonable and if you get a chance to own one, go for it. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice! I think that this is one of the last Officer Models with still extensive work and care given to the D/A pull. The later OMMs still have the nice S/A pull but less care was given to D/A on a target revolverand the bluing one my 1961 vitage OMM is nowhere as nice..
