"getting the oil off" should include the firing pin channel and internals. The treatment on the gun, if new, is a rust inhibitor, not oil at all.

I bought a Citadel 3.5" yesterday.
The Philippine guns have a pretty good reputation for price versus performance.
They seem to rate in between Norincos and name brand U.S. guns, sometimes better. I recall seeing Colts in the '80s that didn't compare well with my gun.

RIA's are one of the best (for the money) 1911's on the market. I have both a 9mm and a 45 both in the compact (Officers Model) size. I probably have 1000 rounds through the 9mm by now, and it is going strong.
