Won't hit near as hard as your .45, but a hit with a .380 is better than a .45 at home in the safe..

I have a soft spot for the little Mustangs, I have 3, a regular model, a Plus II, and a polymer framed XSP. They are a hoot to shoot, and my wife loves the little Plus II model. They are all 3 suprisingly accurate mouse guns. I'm sure you'll like yours, congrats. I picked up some Metalform brand mags from CDNN Sports, just checked, they have them in stock at decent prices if you're in need of a few.

How do you like your XSP? That's the model that I was originally going to buy. Thanks for the heads up on the mags.

Great little guns. I'm sure you'll like it.
I have two. An all steel gun made during the first run in the late 90s and recently picked up a XSP.
In regard to your question, I really like the XSP. Its really light. You hardly know its there and it shoots like a champ.

I like the XSP. My opinion, it's the best pocket pistol out there for my needs. I've always been interested in small pistols and have owned and shot many through the years. The XSP has the perfect balance between accuracy "shootability" and size. It is without a doubt the most accurate pistol in it's class for me. Reliability has been very good after a short break in period, 2 fail to feed in first 20 rounds,a slight bump of the slide took care of these and no problems since. I haven't kept a round count but more than ten boxes (500) of various factory ammo and at least that many reloads.
Speaking of accuracy. Why is it that I always hear that shot placement is king with small calibers, and the same bunch say that sights aren't important on pocket pistols? To me, accuracy of a pocket pistol is one of the most important attributes along with reliability.
Another interesting thing about the XSP. I'm a NRA certified instructor and the XSP has been the most liked .380 by new shooters, and all the ladies I have handed it to have loved it and operated it very well. Much more so than my LCP.

I have a Plus II that has proven to be fairly accurate, soft shooting and very reliable. They are nice little guns. My wife has pretty much repo'd it.
