Ok let's hear or see your EDC carry flashlight. I have been a long time Maglight guy. But bought a new EDC tactical flashlight. Got the Bushnell .TRKRT140L. I really like it's size fits well in cargo pockets. Has three fase bright red and low. Not a bad light for around $ 25.00 .the first one lost its red and low phase in a week. Back to wally world it went. 2nd one has been fine so far. It run one A A. Battery. It doses. Go threw battery. Pretty quick on high. Ok. Whats in your pocket ???

I rotate a couple of Fenix and FourSevens lights around.

Two is one, and one is none.

I have a Fenix that uses one AA battery in my overnight bag, and another, slightly different model, on my nightstand at home. Both give plenty of light, have been dropped several times, and are still on their original AA cell. No pix at this time.

Considering LL Bean [Moonbeam] for $29.00. Hi-beam says 300 lumens. Different color handles and one with body that glows in the dark. Worth takin a look.

Oh, I thought you were talking about serious fire power. I was partial to an M7-9. bu it got traded in for a Harley. BTW, the HD was less scarey.

Shortly after I started carrying a concealed handgun, I learned that carrying a flashlight was also a good idea. Like a concealed handgun, the flashlight you carry beats the one you left at home, or in the car. The high powered flashlights that LEOs and tactical guys carry just didn't work for me as they were too bulky, had short battery life, etc. I found the Streamlight Stylus Pro by accident, and have carried it for years without any problems. I like it a lot. It's lightweight, waterproof (so far), shock proof (so far), and has long battery life (runs on 2 AAA batteries). I carry mine every day in a small belt pouch that also carries my folding EDC knife, an ink pen, and a Sharpie. Here's a link for it:

Streamlight Stylus Pro

Best of luck,

Dave

+1 for the streamlight stylus, I have carried them for years. Carry it in my shirt pocket as I would a pen. My primary light for everyday carry is the Gerber Recon. Small, 3.5" OAL, all metal, powered by 1 AA. Has a surprisingly bright white output, has a rotating bezel for night friendly red, green and blue filtered lights. An essential part of my EDC tools.

I have a Streamlight that is 600 lumens. On high, I can see all over my 8.5 acres at night. It uses two CR123 batteries. I have another Streamlight I carry in my fanny pack, it uses one CR123 battery. I think it is 200 lumens. I would stick with a name brand flashlight that doesn't lie about the power of the light.

I have a FourSevens Quark X123^2 Tactical clipped to my pocket and a Fenix PD20 on my keychain. I also have a couple of Surefires around the house.

Here's my three Fenix. The LD 15 lives in my overnight bag. It uses one AA cell and has bright and dim settings. I epoxied a dime to it so it wouldn't roll when on the bedside table at a motel. Could have used a penny but I felt rich. The E 12 is on my bedside table at home. One AA cell. Has bright and dim settings. The big LD 40 is my main household flashlight, It lives on top of the refrigerator. Uses 4 AA cells and can put out more light than I'll ever need. I've had them a few years and have yet to replace a battery.
