I had a question about my Omega Loveless Style Knife.
It was made by Hank Kubaiko, a superb craftsman- artesian.
Hank is now up in NE Ohio, I think.
The handle is micarta, don't know which steel.
Since this is a 'fighting' knife, it has a top or false edge.
The upper grind is like a chisel grind.
The bottom edge is a a semi- hollow point grind.
So when they meet in the middle, there is a 'spine.'
Once NM knife making ace Cody Wescott was looking at it.
He was comparing the spines. Loveless thought that a fighting knife should be slightly curved or I call it 'humped.'
So the side splines are slightly curved.
Cody was checking for even grind on both sides.
I say, is that hard to do? Cody says, you bet your *** it is!
And Hank did this with standard power tools.
He didn't have those fancy computer metal removal setups!
This may be the only one Hank ever made.
