The Whitney Wolverine
Recently I accidentally stumbled upon a video clip on the Whitney Wolverine, a gun I had never seen or heard of before. The "look" of this gun intrigued me. It is very art-deco or futuristic looking. I was wondering if any of you folks have any experience with this gun. I'd sure like to find one someday as just the appearance of the gun makes me want to own one.

What a cool looking pistol. It has a definite Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon look to it, doesn't it?

As a wee laddie, That was a 'dream' gun for me.
When I finally got in a position to actually buy one, didn't want one any more!

Be aware there are original Wolverines made in the 1950s...and some made maybe 10-15 years ago. The original ones probably bring $750-$1000 in nice condition. The "remakes" (lots of polymer) are probably more like $300 made by Olympic Arms - and have been known to have issues.
One of the coolest looking guns I've ever seen though.
EDIT: Didn't realize Olympic Arms was still making these...

My Dad bought a Wolverine from Stogers back in 58. We shot
it a lot the summer he bought it. I was only 8, we called it the
Space gun. Me and my brother were POed when he traded it
off for a P-38 Walther. We were to young to shot it. Then I got
one on trade in early 70s. It was pretty neat for a plinker, but
I ended up trading it off on something else. I saw one of the
remakes in local gun shop, NIB. I looked it over and decided it
was a piece of ****. It has been in case since summer, I guess
nobody else likes it either. LGS says he never shot one, and he
won't buy another.
