As we all know. Almost all on here have more than one pistol, rifle, or shotgun.
So, my question is...out of all your firearms, what's the one that gets the most "range time" when you go?

For me, it's my SAR K2P 9mm. It's my cheapest 9mm I own, but it shoots so good. It feels like an extension of my hand and arm.
I bought this thing bout 2.5 yrs ago and I have fired more rounds through it (3300) than any of my other 9mm's. Even more than my one SD9VE that has over 2900 rounds through it.
I feel like if I don't take it to the range when I go. I have cheated myself out of a better day at the range.

So what's yours?

Good question.
I have always been more of a rifleman my whole life
so my AR 15's get most of my range time.
I just enjoy shooting them.
I just bought 2 new handguns and i am itching to get
some more trigger time with them.
A Glock 22
and a Kahr subcompact both are .40S&W

I have a Marlin, pre-Remington, Cowboy in .38-55. It is the most amazingly accurate rifle I have ever owned. There ain't an animal in South Texas it won't take. It is so easy to load ammo for that it's fun. If I had to give up every long gun but one then this would be my Keeper.

I've always been the opposite. I feel more comfortable with pistols than rifles.

An 1100 for Trap, CS-9, and the R/A 22 mag. lately.

This one has been shot a lot

K-22 all the way.

My 4" 686 is my current favorite.
M1 Garand has been an all time favorite.
Truth is, I like them all!

Dan Wesson guardian in 9mm is the pistol that I shoot more than any other. Browning XT for shotguns and Weatherby XXII for rifle. None of the others are safe queens but the ones mentioned see more of the light of day.

Guy had one of those out at range today Ruger 77 - 44 mag. Believe he said it was in walnut.
It was beautiful.

I have some wonderful old Mausers I shoot but this 1915 Carl Gustaf m96 in a fairly rare elm stock seems to be my favorite. It will shoot m.o.a. if I do my part.



AS far as handguns go this m66 goes with me to the range as much as anything I own.

Shotgun: SKB Model 500 Skeet 12 gauge. I sent the barrels off to Clearview for tubes back in the early 90s.

My current favorite rifle is an ex-sniper 91/30 Mosin Nagant.

My 4" 34-1 always seems to make the trip with whatever else I take to the range.
Cheap and fun to shoot. Makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

Mine isn't beautiful looking. Has a dark grey synthetic stock. 22" bull barrel and a 2 stage trigger, Topped with a 6x18 Redfield Varmint scope with mill dots. It does shoot beautifully and can get sub MOA groups. It outshoots the M77 I rebarreled to 6mm Remington with a McGowen premium grade heavy barrel and installed a Canjur set trigger on.

I am a member of a range about 20 minutes away but I live on 2 acres in the city, so MY range is my backyard and the small pond next to me. I am surrounded by hills and woods so I could shoot a .22 once or twice without the neighbors calling the cops but I just bought an RWS .22 pellet rifle that I have been shooting off my back porch pretty frequently. I've been shooting the cattails about 30 yards away in the pond from the standing position with iron sights and I'm hitting them fairly often. Its fun watching that .22 pellet turn em' into big white puffs.

Shotty. Remington 1100 12ga. Had it since 1967. Never occurred to me to want/need anything else.
Rifle. That's a tough one. My AR, followed closely by my M1 Garand. Both are almost no fun to shoot, they're so accurate. Dime sized groups are SOP.
Pistol. Colt Series 70 1911. No matter how long between range trips, it's spot on.
Revolver. S&W Model 19 Combat Magnum. Like the 1911, doesn't matter how long between range trips, it punishes the X ring.

Never put a lot of rounds thru them any more. 3-6rds, X is gone. Why waste the ammo?

I waste ammo to practice. I need it.

handgun: M&P22 - I shoot a brick every time I take it out

Long(er) gun: 995TS 9mm carbine - I take this the most often and shoot 200 rds each time

Don't understand me too fast. A trip to the range with my snubbies can be a very humbling experience.

It's more like a flavor of the week thing for me, if I don't enjoy shooting it, it won't be around long. Revolvers: mdl 681, mdl 10,mdl 617 in that order. Levers: Win 94 xtr 22 mag. semi rifle: S&W 15-22. Scoped rifles: even though it is the least expensive by far, the single shot varmint bull barrel H&R 223 with a bipod & break action I enjoy shooting from the bench the most & is why I have flip flopped on selling it so many times. Shotguns: the Browning double auto. Bolt actions: Ruger M77V 22 mag, yes even more than a REM 40x 223.

I've gotten a couple of new guns lately. But up til now I've tried to give them all rotation at the range. My rifle and shot gun have been idle because the range is so far away. My indoor range has a rifle section, but I haven't tried it yet. I really should.

I only shoot the kel tec enough to be competent with it.

I LOVE two guns. My 686 and my 5943. They get a good workout nearly all the time.

I just got a Shield and a mod 36 (preparing to carry) and I think the Shield is going to get a lot of range time and I'll practice with the 36 (.38 Special) more than the kel tec because it HAS to be more comfortable to shoot. I'm planning on trying it tomorrow.

I have a nice 1926 Browning A5 shotgun (full choke barrel, not inserts) I inherited and I'd like to keep, but I'd sacrifice it for a little more Home Defense friendly model.

They just don't make them like that anymore. A good field strip & cleaning out of any varnished oil etc, & save it for ducks/geese/dove/pheasant/turkey/ birds/clay. A totally adequate home defense gun to be loaded with 8 rounds, stuck behind a closet door & hopefully never used, can be had for little $. A maverick 88 pump will work & you could find one new for under 200$ on sale, less $ used. NOT worth giving up an old classic for, IMO. Also home defense shotguns, especially the popular pistol gripped ones do not need to be a 12 gauge, IMO again. 20 gauge ammo has come a long way. Unless you live in a castle indoor shots will be close. A 20 ga will be up to the task, lighter, without the punishing recoil.

I really like shooting my Marlin lever action in .357 Magnum. Very little kick and it will get the job done on anything in this area.

Easy Colt Government 1911 XSE 45 acp stainless followed by my Beretta 92fs then my HK USP 45 duo tone Full sized. Then if I'm in a revolver mood, my S&W 66-2 2 1/2" snubbie, with factory 80's combats or my no dash 629 4". That's my pecking order. Depending on my mood and what I feel like cleaning afterwards. I can't let anything sit for more than 2-3 days after a shooting session and not clean em. I'm just weird like that. I have range buddies that never CLEAN their guns. I don't understand??

I don't tend to shoot my blued S&W's much. I hate cleaning them and don't like causing cylinder ring wear. I LOVE stainless.

Then if I'm in the rifle mood my Olympic Arms K16 or my MP15. And only shoot 556 x 45.

I usually take a rifle or handgun to check or set zero on new ones.
I just built an AR in 6.5 Grendel. It will be for hunting but wants to be a one hole gun.

Shotguns; when I did Sporting clays, trap and skeet I had the right gun for each sport. Sold them. I have used my Benelli Super Black Eagle at skeet and sporting clays.

I picked up a LNIB Benelli Montefeltro in 20 gauge and want to use it more at the range.

Not range but for doves I have some old Win M-12's, 16 and 12 gauge. Both would work for trap too.

The last 3 or 4 times I have gone to the farm to shoot

My favorite, as in "fun", range pistol is this Model 54 CHI-COM Tokarev from the Korean War era. Great conversation piece as well as dependable, accurate, LOUD, with a foot long muzzle flash, especially in low light

I have a Colt Gold Cup that is my favorite pistol. My Ruger 77/357 gets a lot of range time. I don't shoot any of my shotguns anymore and sold several recently. I'll sell a few more soon but I'm holding on to my 870. I've had that one for 45 years old and I just can't part with it.

With a lot of help from some fine people in this forum, I purchased a Model 31, 32 cal., 2'' snubbie. I have bad hands with recoil, weight, and finger pull issues. I just can't take a lot of stress with my hands, but this jewel is awesome. I am still not a great shot, but she (Red) is easily my most accurate shooter. I almost feel confident in shooting with her. It took almost 9 years to find this great gun, but I am so pleased.

Ruger pistol gets the most trigger pulls, but the Savage gets the most range hours. I can sit for a couple hours or more dinging steel plate at 300yds or bouncing around bottle caps and shotgun hulls on the 100yd bank.

My S&W Model 14-4 and my Kimber .22 Hunter get the most range time by far. They can both shoot one hole groups if I do my part. I don't play shotgun games anymore, when I did my Beretta A303 was my best tool.

Only about 2,500 through this one and I still consider myself a newby at using a rifle properly.

I'm the same way. If the range isn't busy. I break em down there and clean my pistols.
I have a range buddy who says "it don't need cleaned - just throw some rem oil or frog lube in the action and keep shooting".

I don't shoot his firearms very often.

I can see why these would be your favorites. Nice.

Unfair and unreasonable question. That's like asking which of my kids do I love most.
Seriously though, If I could pick one favorite I woudn't really need all the rest of them, now would I? What would be the fun in that?
