Easy fix. The sight will drift out and replacements are available from Williams or Marble.

Yes, you replace the sight with the dovetail with a shorter one. They come in different heights, and there should be one close enough available to get you on zero. The standard advice is to zero the point of impact to be 1-1/2" - 2" high at 100 yards.
