Default New to me Silver Chrome Sport Model Hi Power

Found this one at the LGS. Did not even make it into the display case. The owner knows I am BHP fan and showed it to me when I stopped in looking for a new AR15 charging handle and sling swivel. Gun is 95%+. There are a few handling marks here and there but nothing that detracts from the overall finish of the gun. No box and one shiny silver mag.

Trigger is crisp and pulls at about 6lbs 8ozs avg of 5 pulls. I went ahead and removed the factory Pachmayr grips with Navidrex slims in black Micarta.

I might remove the mag disconnect but at this poing I am going to leave the gold trigger. I have a black one in the parts bin and might swap it out but since it is a range gun I might just leave it the stock trigger. I also might change the hammer spring to a Wolf and polish it up a bit but other than than that I don't think it needs more.

My brother talked me out of my first BHP that looked just like that one. Nice find!

I love it when that happens!

Very nice! I love the BHP, and that one was made to carry.

Except for that safety...

Swapping mine out for a larger one (doesn't need to be ambi) is on my to do list. I found a Galco Havana, for a 1911 at my LGS, for 10 bucks. It also fits the BHP, but I'm not carrying it until I have a better feeling safety.

Default Hi-Power Fan

That's a really sweet Hi-power. I have a blued version and I love it. What many people don't realize is that this gun is slim through the slide and with the right IWB holster, is exceptionally comfortable to carry for a full-size pistol.

I would leave the magazine disconnect in the gun. I recently re-installed my safety and shot no worse with it.

.
So true.....if I carried Cocked and locked I'd go with my Mark III BHP w/ Spegel grips and a Mec-gar 15rd mag.......the few times I've carried mine in a Sparks Summer Special..... really no harder to carry than my S&W 3913.

Nice find! Love the grips on yours. Mine has the grips that came with it from Browning.

A big +1 on the navidrex grips.I prefer the feel of them for carry even over my Craig Spegel grips.I would have jumped at the chance to buy that beautiful BHP.

While listening to Obama tell the world about how he is going to save us from gun violence I pulled the gold trigger off the gun. At the same time I removed the mag disconnect.

The trigger pull dropped to 5lb 9oz, the avg of 5 pulls. It is super smooth and it looks much better IMHO.

Will snap some more pics tomorrow.
