Default "MOUSE GUN" NA vs Seecamp

Does any one own and/or have experience with the North American Guardian or Seecamp ? I'm intrigued and leaning toward the NA because of availability, but could be convinced to go Seecamp Thank you in advance for your comments, recommendations, etc

Years ago I had a .32 Guardian that I kind of wish I could have back. I seem to remember recoil was a shade sharp, but nothing flinch-worthy. Fit and finish on my gun were good, as well as concealability. Never had any functioning problems. That's all I remember about it, I got rid of it probably 10 years ago.

If I didn't like my Bodyguard so much I'd strongly consider getting another Guardian.

I've owned a Seecamp .32 for about 20 years. Take this pistol down into all it's components and you'll be impressed by it's fit and finish. You can depend on this little jewel to fire reliably every time when used with the appropriate ammo.

I've owned a Guardian for over 10 years. It won't function with 71 gr. ball, but goes bang every time with any brand of 60 gr. hollow points. Seems a little heavy for it's size, but you can hide it in the palm of your hand. Good coat pocket or ankle holster BUG. Sights are almost nonexistent, but it's a last ditch get em off of you gun, so accuracy isn't an issue. I've never owned a Seecamp but I think they both share the same weak and strong points. I'm satisfied with mine.

The .32 mouse guns definitely have a place. I've owned a few of the Kel Tec P32 pistols and have one now. I have never experienced any type of failure w/ any type of ammo I've tried. A 60 gr.Hornady XTP will take the fight out of most folks.

I bought my son a Seecamp .32 for Christmas. He has run 100 rounds of Hornady and Winchester 60 grain ammo through it so far with no issues. It will not feed 65 grain MagTech or 71 grain FMJ ammo. It is a quality built piece of art, too bad I can not afford to buy myself one.

Here it is with my D-I-L's S&W Shield.

Never owned an NAA, but I love my Seecamp. All stainless, it has some heft for a little gun but I can carry it all day and never notice it. It is plenty accurate considering it has no sights, and is quite possibly the only semi automatic handgun I've owned that I never had a malfunction with. Not a single one.

I have had a .32 Seecamp for years. Pocket-carried it at work. Always works. I thought of buying the .380 when they came out, but never got around to it. Highest regard for their products.

Saw a Seecamp at my range 6 months ago .. if I remember right they wanted 425 for it .. I didn't finger it and it was gone the next week ..

Is that the usual price .. it looked to be in nice shape from just looking at it ..

I owned a NAA .380 years ago. A group of us made a group purchase at a good discount intending to carry them as back up weapons. NAA set ours up with large dot front night sights as a factory upgrade. Mine was loose upon delivery. NAA fixed the sight and sent back two spare magazines with the repaired weapon, no charge. I am impressed with the craftsmanship of the weapon and yes, it never jammed. I do remember that it was all stainless thus a little heavy for the size and that it did have a snappy recoil. I sold it to a buddy when I retired and sort of regret doing so but as of the last Beefsteak dinner he told me he still carries it. I'm currently considering one of their mini revolvers, based on the quality of that gun. P.S. Always lusted over a coworkers Seecamp.

I have owned a Guardian for ten years. It is in the 32NAA caliber...basically just a 380 necked down to hold a 32 bullet. It is slightly more powerful than a 380 and Lee made the dies for it. I have had zero failures.
I don't agree that it is an aimless, hit at point blank range "get 'em off me" gun. I will say that I can make head shots at about 20 feet, but it takes some practice and getting used to if you don't shoot little tiny guns.
I do agree that it is too heavy for it's size. When Ruger came out with the LCP I got one and the NAA became a safe queen...haven't carried it since. The weight of the thing causes it to just not ride right in my pocket, it's uncomfortable and that's bad enough. But the real issue in pocket carry is that it was always flipped wrong making a draw and ready to shoot difficult. Not that big of a deal, but it really should be carried in some sort of a pocket holster.
Quality wise, it is a nicely made little gun. If I remember right they are made by Kahr for NAA. Maybe it's just the frame, I cant remember. To tell you the truth, I haven't shot or even looked at it since I got the LCP...now I have to go make sure it is still where I left it in the safe!!!!

I had a .380 NAA for a while a few years ago, and while it was quality, and reliable, it was thicker and heavier than I liked. I can't remember what it weighed, but I think my Shield 9mm is lighter.

Have had a NAA Guardian for years. Too "dense" to carry in my opinion and way too fussy with ammo. Too many more reliable and lighter pocket guns around. My Keltec Pt380 is lighter and has run great. We sell a lot of .380 Bodyguards and Ruger LCP's and they too run great without the weight. Good Luck, Ricci.
