Default Gun Picture Thread - Post 'em If You Got 'em

I was scanning some pre-digital gun photos from the 70's and 80's last night, and for no other reason than people like gun pictures, I thought I would post a couple, and invite others to join in. Any make is fine, handgun, rifle, or shotgun.

The one pistol I've owned the longest - bought from a pawn shop back in the late 70's. American Arms PX-22, a Walther TPH clone, .22lr. Actually shoots well, and laser sighting the bore shows the tiny sights are dead on the bore at 30'.

In addition to S&Ws I guess you could say I'm diversified. If it is old and go's bang I like it. My main long gun interest is Winchester and other brand boys rifles in .22 caliber. I finally acquired at least one example of every single shot .22 Winchester produced. I have to many interests and to little funds.

This 1911 was part of a 300 pistol shipment to the New York National Guard in 1950. Roll marked Property of the State of New York. The story I was told is that the Army asked for the pistols back from National Guard Units to whom they had been given after WWII when the Korean Conflict started heating up. How it got to central Texas is a story I would love to know. I did get a letter from Colt on this one.

Yes sir, some nice shooting irons out there. Probably because of my age, but I have always been a big fan of blued steel and walnut, but the modern stuff is sure fun to shoot as well.

R/E those HK's - Boy have values gone thru the roof. Both my 91 and 93 were $499 each thru an FFL buddy back in the day.

Sheepdawg - I remember racks of Swedish Mausers, EXC condition, packed in grease for $69.00. The rifle sitting on the hood of my truck in my first post, third from the top, is a factory Husqvarna Mauser 98 based 30-06 sporter.

I have had such variety of nice stuff go thru my hands over the years, and I wish I had the forethought to photograph more of them. Looking at the old pictures brings back a good memory or two about most of them. Couple more posted below.

I own too many handguns, but the two that I consider the most special are this mint 1955, "Early Chiefs Special Model of 1953", with genuine India Sambar Stag grips. And this 1947 ( my birth year) factory nickel M&P.
