Ruger 10/22
I am curious to see your Ruger 10/22s. I have a 50th Anniversary Tacstar, 1-4x24 Bushnell AR scope, and GSG 110 round drum magazine.

My SR22, all original from Ruger. EDIT Entirely original is not quite true. I added an extended mag release and modified bolt release, otherwise all original.

I had a half dozen 10/22's at one time. I was a real sucker for the DSP stocks.
These days, I'm down to one, a 2006, "Wally-World Special" with a 22" SS barrel, DSP style hardwood stock, nylon sling, a cheap 4X Bushnell "blister pack" scope from Gander Mountain, a "Swamp Fox" (RFC board member) trigger job, and a plastic bolt stop.
It's a squirrel killing machine.
Looks good too.

My first 10/22 ( 1st one in the picture ) was purchased in the 60's.
It has had a boat load of ammo thru it. It will eat anything you feed it and is every bit as accuracte as the Clark custom 10/22 in the picture.
I have one more , not in the picture. And would still like to get a full length stock model.
IMHO the best .22 rifle out there.

That stock looks a lot like my late 70's vintage 10/22 bought at kmart. Except I bought a $9.99 variable power scope for it.
Since those 35+ years, that gun (stock and scope too) have been wiped down with nothing but Hoppes #9 and various cheap oil.
It was and still is a tack driver. Maybe one of the toughest, most versatile rimfires in my lifetime.
Op: enjoy it!

Don't have one now but if I spent a lot of time hiking in the woods, I'd have one for a survival type gun. Nice gun to customize with all the parts available. Paul, nice stock. Larry

Thanks for some fine pics of 10/22s. Missed mine as they are so handy to carry and almost bought another but when I saw the Ruger American Compact in 22 available in 22 mag. I jumped as it reminds me of a 10/22 with a bolt. Nice and light and I am warming up to synthetic/fiberglass stocks. Not a bad gun for $270 I paid.

Love my 10-22. Mine came from the factory with a laminated stock, stainless barrel, nylon sling, and scope.

I've only got one now. Gave them out to kids. Lost my original
International model to my sister in law, with birth of my first
Nephew. Bought it when first out in 60's for $59.95, 1st standard
model bought when first out $38.50, a dollar more than Ruger
standard auto pistol at the time.

As you can see, this one is not fancy at all. One of my sons did refinish the stock however. It's mounted with a Bushnell 1.75 x 4 power scope and has a Volquartsen trigger assembly with about a 2½-pound trigger pull. Fun little gun. Everybody should own a Ruger 10/22.

Paul, was this a 10/22 stock, or a blank, or for another gun when you found it? Pretty sweet, either way.

You don't want to see a photo of mine, nothing but plain old factory black walnut, 1974 vintage , with that cheesy plastic butt plate. Have been meaning to replace it with a metal one for years....just never got aroundtuit.

This one has a few modifications done to it and has put a little meat on the table here and there over the years. Sometimes I put a can on the front and it's just plain fun. I also have the stainless with laminate stock version that 307-niner put a picture of. It was a Wally World exclusive in the early 90s if memory serves..

Thank you! Never intended for it to turn out that way. It was the only photo I could find with my 10/22 in it for this thread. Got lucky I guess. It is up near "middle Alaska", post caribou season and looking for bears. We only saw sows and cubs that day. The start point is way down the lake where the trucks were parked. There's a valley that goes up and around. The climb to where the photo was taken was a bit steeper than we'd hoped, but we were trying to get a good vantage point to see all around. No animals up there either, but a few feet from where that first photo was taken, we found this.

10-22T shortened to 16.75", threaded, suppressed, Leupold 4-12x scope, and a Corelite (out of business) camo synthetic stock. Very quiet with subsonic ammo.

Not showing the whole rifle obviously, just some of the Rimfire Technologies stuff I threw on there. It's a newer stainless gun. Sadly, Rimfire Technologies is gone but Tactical Solutions seems to make similar stuff.
