Default Colt Pocket Positive

Got an invitation from Fat Tom a few weeks back to visit him and his favorite LGS. As a result I ended up with this 32 Colt. Serial is 1163XX, dating it to 1925. It still amazes me to see a 90 year old gun in this condition. I guess this is the closest thing Colt ever made to a I Frame Smith.

That's a great looking gun. I'd be happy to have it in my collection.

Enjoy it and thanks for sharing,

Kobsw

Oh, I am jealous now. I've been looking for one that nice or even close. Nice score.

I just bought one of those a few weeks ago, made in 1916. The timing is just a bit slow in single action though. I think it needs a new ejector star or ratchet in some circles, to solve this. I'd appreciate hearing what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

It is becoming difficult to find gunsmiths that will work on older Colt revolvers. I think parts availability is the main reason. Good luck on finding someone to assist you with your problem.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think about it until the next day, but I didn't intend to hijack your thread. I'm new to this forum stuff, and forget that it's different than having a conversation with people, know what mean? Then too, I feel like a jerk for not having complimented you on your Colt. It really is a sweet looking piece, congratulations!

Sorry for the trouble.

Sweet little .32. I'm seriously envious.

Beautiful gun!! Yes it amazes me too how many times I've stumbled across 60 - 70 year old guns that look as though they have never been fired! When I do I often grab them

About 16 years ago I went into a LGS to kill an hour waiting for friends who were running late. I found a 1st year production NIB (original red box too) Baby Chief's Special that had never been fired (except for Factory testing of course). The gun was marked $175 and when I asked the Clerk if that was the correct price (because it was so low) he answered me "yes it is and you know no one buys those antiques anymore so I'll let you have it for $145". My wallet came out faster than I could ever draw my gun and slapped the cash on the glass counter so hard I thought I'd broken it!

Had the same experiences with a 1905 M&P 4th Change, a Dick Special, and another few Smith early M36's. Ya just never know what's in the display cases!
