Interesting concept for a revolver
Apparently a new offering from Taurus. I believe this has possibilities. I wonder why S&W doesn't think outside the box? Seems that there is much more innovation coming from Taurus and Ruger than S&W. All of the ideas might not be winners, but this is how we move forward.

Seems like an easy part to break . . .

Or lose.
The fact is very little is ever really new when it comes to guns. There have been a number of various switcheroo-type hammers, fold-aways and other devices, tried on revolvers throughout the past.

Just what I want, a drift pin going sideways through the hammer. They did make a point that even if it drifted out the hammer spur wouldn't come out because it has to be rotated to remove.
What they didn't say is, that while the drift pin is drifting out it effectively jams the hammer from striking the primer. (Or, as they eloquently said about the separate key lock, "No Bang".)

I'm not sure how effective the feature would be in increasing sales, but if I were Taurus, I'd probably design some compartment in the grips to store the spur so it wouldn't get lost. Or maybe they should include a spare spur as part of the package.

Sort of like a push button to start a car. Went out in 1950, back as a new inovation in 2014.

I've owned a couple of Taurus products and cannot really say anything bad. One was their 5 shot .44 magnum, another was the tiny .22 LR auto and both worked exactly like advertised. The .44 revolver had a gritty action that never really got better but the tiny .22 was a great back up. Both have been sold or traded for other things but I would not hesitate to buy another Taurus if it was something I liked.

Just including two fitted hammers with a revolver would be nice. I don't need a convertible hammer.

I'm wondering of Taurus did this so they would only have to qualify one handgun model instead of two (spurred or spurless) in certain states?

Doesn't seem like a good idea - seems like an accident waiting to happen.

I believe I'll stick with S&W, don't need gimmicks. The more bells
and whistles they bolt on the more to go wrong.
