What have I done???
Well you guys talked me out of the Canik TP9 SA.
So what did I go do...
Walked into LGS and there sits a new Kel Tec Sub 2000 with a $389 price tag. Now I haven't seen one of these round these parts in 3 plus years. Well, one that wasn't priced at $550 - $600 plus, (used) at a gun show.
So needless to say it came home with me.
Now I just gotta wait till the wife goes to bed, so I can put it in the safe and hide the box.
Oh and it takes the 9mm Glock mags

Reason: Forgot to mention which mags and caliber.

Which mags does it use? I had one in 40S&W with Glock mags that was fun to shoot, 100% reliable and accurate. It was before I started reloading and it got expensive to feed. My son thought it was a bullet hose.

I have one in 40 cal, glock mags..They are a lot of fun..Make sure and know the ins and outs of field stripping .. One of the tricks, make sure the rifle is 'cocked" and on safety, before removing the bolt....Otherwise reinstalling the bolt can be tricky, at best..

Keep an eye on the front sight. Rumor sez the newer ones are pinned to the barrel, but I haven't seen a new or old one in the last couple of years.

Who wonders why the 9mm carbines are so expensive.

Well I took the Sub 2k G2 out today. After I stopped at the local Rural King to buy 4 of the 17rd PMags for it.
Put 225 rounds of 9mm through it.
100 rounds of Perfecta, 75 rounds of Tula, and 50 rounds of leftover Freedom Munitions... and not a hiccup.
Figured if it could handle the cheap stuff, it could handle anything.
14" inch steel plates at 40 & 100 yards rang out, between 3 of us from work.
Of course my 2 co-workers asked if I wanted to sell it???
I just turned, smiled, & said sure - $550, and it's yours.
Well darn, It still came home with me.

The new ones aren't pinned to the barrel. The barrel has two tiers of threading. The outer tier, wider, is what the front sight screws onto. Some of us Sub2K Gen2 owners experience front sight rotation. Within the first 150 rounds, mine canted. It went back to KelTec for remediation.

With the exception of the HiPoint 995TS, I wonder the same thing about other dedicated 9mm carbines. Why so darn expensive? I'm focusing on the dedicated 9mm carbines that don't try to mimic an AR-15. They're all simple blowback actions. None of them have the best trigger.

I always wondered that too.
I mean between the Just Right, Thureon, TNW, Beretta, Taurus, & others, I can't understand why the prices are crazy!!!
I'm happy with my two 995 TS's and one Sub 2k.

I just traded my G22 sub2k yesterday for a S&W m&p360, couldn't say no.
Now I read this thread and I want one again. They really are fun little guns.
