Browning Hi Power with Millett front sight Question
I have this BHP. It has a older Bomar sight and a Millett front sight with the red insert. Some of the insert has been chipped out and I am wondering what the process is to repair it? Is it something I can do myself at home or something that has to go to a smith?

Brownells has a front sight insert kit that looks like it would be perfect for rebuilding your damaged front sight. Good luck.

You need the kit to be able to successfully recast the red plastic and to have it stay in place. I know this from past experience. And, that front sight is actually a Millet product. ............

I believe you are correct about it being a Millett. Got the pistol used so I am not privy to the original specs.
What is it about the kit that makes it stay in place. It looks like it is just resin, activator and dye along with some mixing cups.
