My DIY Revolving Shotgun
It's largely a product of my junk box holding together a few gun parts. Barrel 12 ga. new $10 from eBay, cylinder from chambers cut off riot gun blanks, the only other gun part the hammer for a Remington .44 perc.
Six shots loads/unloads like a Colt SAA, trigger guard lever revolves & cocks it. Made 2009.

Nice gun. In fact I love it. Ugly enough to really have a lot of class. I would love to have one like that to pull out and be able to show something really different. Fine piece of work.

Very interesting. Please describe the mechanism by which it rotates. More pictures, description, and/or video would be interesting.
Hopefully this doesn't get any press or someone will surely propose legislation to close the "junk box loophole."

Very clearly thought out and well designed. It is pretty awesome.
A nice accomplishment.
Many of us are tasked with putting a single shot black powder kit together and we use MIM parts.....

With completion of my 12 ga. six shooter, I started on a 20 ga. three shooter to incorporate
design improvements I wish I'd put in the first one. Got this far ----
Someone else will have to finish it, I'm 92 now with failing horsepower ----------->

I'll check back when the electric drive and feed hopper are attached. Always fancied a 12ga Mauser 213.

Congratulations to you, sir. This type of effort & work & results exemplify what a home craftsman can do when some says it cannot be done. Perhaps you should consider patenting and selling the idea? American ingenuity. Ah, I love this country. Thank you for sharing.

Very impressive sir! Both your ingenuity and longevity. I hope you're around for much longer. This country has thrived because of folks like you.
Bravo!!
Do you have a machine shop, lathe, etc.? Or do you manufacture your tools, also?
I looked at your profile and noticed that you listed being a writer. If you don't mind, what are some of your writings?
You said your horsepower is declining. Maybe, but your mind is still crystal clear.

To Jessie & all concerned:
Thanks for your comments. I was over 50 years into restoration work on old guns, mostly pre-percussion & being author/publisher of DIY books, video tapes & DVDs, probably over 75k sold since 1950s. A google search of my name RH McCrory will confirm with a couple pages of entries. My shop has a Logan lathe made 1950s that has a 1 1/2" spindle hole to take gun barrels, tool post grinder & milling attachment. Also a metal cutting bandsaw, MIG & stick welding, an engraving bench, polishing bench, drill press, etc. My writing is in my self published "Modern Kentucky Rifle", "Lock, Stock & Barrel" Vols I & II plus a few smaller pieces. I've done about a dozen DVDs mostly on restoration of pre percussion guns. My Son is getting set up to market them again & some others still on video tape.

Just amazing RH. I am continually impressed with the experience, knowledge and skill that some of our forum members share here. I am an unworthy tinkerer.
