Do you have a Sig Legion
Have been looking at reviews of the Sig P229 Legion in 40 S&W .. they seem to run around $1200 .. Haven't found one in my area and may end up ordering one with having put my hands on one to fondle it .. If I decide to buy ..
Anyone out there have one ?? Did you buy with out fondling one in advance ?? How long did it take you to decide to buy it .. After you decided to look ..
P226 Legion or P229 Legion Which one ?? What caliber ??
Your thoughts on the pistol !!

I picked up a Legion 229 in 9mm. It's got a few neat features that I could give or take....the extra trigger guard checkering, the grey finish (which I wish was more grey), the excellent grips, the new night sights with the brighter front sight... But the TRIGGER makes the gun! I've had Sigs and carried a few off and on since the early 90s. This Legion DA/SA trigger is simply the best trigger to ever come out of Sig (except the single actions of course). I've only put a few hundred rounds through it, but it's been 100%. Accuracy is outstanding. Not sure what else to say.
If you're in the market for a Sig, you have two options. Buy a standard model for $800-1000 and then sink another few hundred in it for a better trigger, etc, or just pony up for the Legion to start with. Having done both, I'd say just start with the Legion if you're in the market.
I went with 9mm just to make things simple. I've got a few others in .357sig/40, but just wanted a simple 9mm this time.
Next up is to get my hands on a Legion 226 SAO.

It sounds as if their numbers are not Legion. How uncommon are they, and what does Legion mean in this context?
Is this model issued to the French or Spanish Foreign Legions?

I thinking the same .. as far as going with the Legion instead of going with a trigger package .. probably well worth everything you get ..
I'm thinking of a 229 in 40S&W .. I also like the looks of the Elite ..

Found a Sig p229 Legion on line at a good price and bought one last Thursday ..
I decided on the 40S&W platform so I will be able to shoot 9mm and 357Sig by buying a 357 Sig barrel and a 40 to 9mm conversion barrel and a couple of 9mm mags .. I have my 40c set up the same way ..
Hoping it will get here by this next Friday so I can shoot it this weekend ..

Nice! Make sure to post the results of your range time! There aren't many commenting on this forum with them, but hit the "home team" forum for that pistol, search around the threads and you'll find plenty of support and people that bought one...or two..or three..
