I have a rare Ruger GP100 (3 inch barrel with adjustable sights from the factory). I just got some walnut Badger stocks.
I like the color, and the grip angle (reminds me of my HK P7 in feel). This gun weighs 36 ounces and carries well. It stays loaded with Underwood Ammo's .357 magnum 125 gr. JHP, 1500 ft/s from the 3 inch barrel.
That is a very nice and rare example of a GP-100. I'll bet that it is a real hand full with that Underwood load and those small grips.
Thanks. I had a 2.5 inch .41 magnum with wood boot grips. Shooting that with the full 210 gr. Remington JSP was quite the handful. While the .357 magnum sure has a lot of muzzle energy, I've always found it just right (even with smaller wood stocks).
The sharp crack from that short barrel is a head ringer, though.
