He has offered it to me and neither of us have any idea on value, I have not been able to find where any have been sold in the last few years. He paid $1600 for it but I don't have a clue if it is worth $2000 or $1200. I told him I would offer a fair price but don't want to over pay. Anyone have any idea of the value of this gun?

IIRC they were made by Rizzini before they were discontinued. If he paid $1600 in 2001 he got a good deal. Again IIRC CDNN blew them out well below the MSRP when they were dropped by Sig. He might have benefited from that. MSRP new was $2200 +/-.
For current value if you have a copy of the Blue Book of Guns they are listed in there. The last version I have 2011 says:
Aurora TR20U Field (Apollo) Add to Collection
- similar to Apollo/Aurora TR20 Field, except has straight English stock (Upland Model) and color case hardened receiver. Mfg. 2000-2005.

Last MSR was $2,250.
I would offer him a little less than he paid something in the range of $1200
