New Gun = New Safe
Went looking for a new 1911 today. Looked at a Springfield Range Officer, Ruger SR1911, and a few Kimber's. Then I looked at a Dan Wesson. I got the Dan Wesson Heritage.
Dan Wesson is becoming legendary for their quality. I wasn't looking to spend quite that much but what the heck.
SO.............. I realized that my pistol safe is full. It's a small safe. And I've been planning to buy a good gun safe so I got this.
Liberty. Franklin 25.
Sorry to brag. But I'm happy.

Dan Wesson's are wonderful 1911s.
You won't be disappointed.
Buy once, cry once...
And besides, you spent more on the safe didn't you?
(I'm envious of the safe)

Bought the DW Secialist two years ago.
Best shooting, most accurate and favorite out of the 17 handguns in my over crowded small safe. You're going to love your Heritage. Good shooting.
You have inspired me to go look at moving up to a bigger safe. And Liberty safes are to top of my shopping list.

I can't help but think that DW quality may be a result of CZ buying the company a few years ago. Then again I could be wrong.
I bought my last safe from Cabelas. It is one their signature series, the signature 35. It is a Liberty Franklin 35 sold under the Cabelas name. So if your looking for a safe be sure to check Cabelas prices, you might save a few bucks. Also, get one larger than you think you need. Better to spend a little more at the time rather than a lot more later on.

I would recommend Fort Knox. I have had two for many years, and have been pleased with both. Very nice looking pistol, as well.

Nice pistol!!! I have a similar story from around 2000-2001...my roommate said he found a USGI 1911 for sale at a local store. He said something along the lines of "you better not buy it, because I'm thinking about it. Besides, your safe is full, so you'd need another safe first anyway".
Well, normally I wouldn't accept the challenge from a friend or roommate, but he was a bit behind on his share of the rent and house bills.
Challenge accepted - I first inspected the pistol, decided I wanted it and put a deposit down. See - didn't really buy it, just held it with the option of completing the deal. Then I went and picked up my new Liberty 50. I installed it in the living room while the roommate was at work. Then I finished the transaction for the pistol, placed it all buy itself in the middle shelf on display and had it sitting, ready for inspection when he got home. Next to it were copies of the bills he was behind on.
Got my payments the next day.

Put 200 rounds through it today. No problems. Accuracy is outstanding. Put new shoes on it.
