I collect Anschütz sporters based on the 54 action and have acquired 12 of them in years of collecting. Here are seven of them with different styles, the others are mostly duplicates that I have given to my sons. I love the quality and solid feel of these rifles and the fact that the bolt uses locking lugs. The 54 sporter action is based on the 54 Match action and is actually a reduced Mauser action with a separate bolt stop. I also have a weakness for the DST, the double set triggers and have them adjusted to be not too light but to break around the original factory setting of 4 ounces.
I think that S&W afficionados will also appreciate built the quality and performance of these fine rifles.
