Default Question about Colt Officers acp mags

Which larger capacity mags will fit a Colt Officers Model .45 acp? I'm pretty sure a standard 1911 or 1911A1 magazine won't fit. However, for reloads, I want to carry higher capacity magazines while I carry my Lightweight Officer's Model. Doesn't matter if they'll extend past the mag well.

Standard 1911 mags work. They stick out a little.

I've got the one Colt mag that came with the gun, and all my extras are Chip McCormick Shooting Stars - eight rounders.

Regular size 1911 mags will fit, just don't slam them in place because you run a risk of damaging the ejector. Also, they may need heavier springs to function properly. I just run 7rd Officers mags in my Colt 1991A1 Compact and CCO and don't mess with full size mags.

Wilson Combat makes an extended 8round mag for the compact w/ a "stop" to keep it from being jammed in too far......$30-35.....
