Winchester 101
Guys I need help pricing a Winchester 101 for my brother's friend's widow. We are lacking knowledge in higher end shotguns except for knowing one when we see it. It is a Pigeon grade with nickel receiver and Pigeon motif on the bottom. 12 gauge with a PK serial number prefix. Not sure what the name is for the rounded pistol grip style stock either. Just a ball park figure if someone could for the gun alone. I still have them looking to see if there was a fitted case, extra barrels etc. Thank you in advance.
Looks just like the attached picture.

I sold a 20ga pigeon grade 101 about 5 years ago for $1,750 : nice gun I couldn't shoot well.
Yours is a 12 so it's worth less.
Check with the guys at doublegunshop.com for more current and better info.

You might check Gunbroker. They've sold a couple, prices ranging around $2000. Be sure to search only complete auctions, and those that actually had bids.

I looked at Guns International, prices of 101's were 750 to over 2500.
Most that said Pigeon were 12-1900. If the gun does not have screw in chokes it is not an easy seller.
I had the waterfowl 3" one in the late 80's, very nice guns.

I sold a Winchester 12 gauge 101 trap gun a short while ago for $1,350. It was a Pigeon grade with the original factory case and in excellent condition.
I have another single barrel trap Winchester 101 12 gauge. This one is a Diamond Grade (top grade) in the original case with screw in chokes. I will probably sell this one as well.
