Default Colt/Clark Long Heavy Slide .45

Hello,
I have recently added this pistol to my collection and thought I would share. This is my 2nd Colt/Clark pistol. I also have a Colt .38 Special Kit Gun built by Mr Clark Sr in 1966. This long slide is stamped 8 78 on the underside of the slide indicating Mr Clark built it in August 1978. I had it out to the range for the first time today and I'm very impressed at how soft it shoots and the accuracy with my light target load is superb. I found this in a small LGS on consignment and it was very lightly used. Very tightly fitted and smooth as silk is a Clark trademark and this pistol is no exception. I couldn't be happier!

Have you made contact with Clark Custom to see what they have to say about yours .

Yes , Jerry Miculek ( I think this is correct spelling ) married Kay Clark , Jim Sr's daughter , now Jerry is part of the family by marriage . The third generation of the Clark family are carrying on the business.
I have only one gun accurized by Clark's Custom Guns , a Ruger MKII that is a magical thing to shoot, it puts a smile on my face and a song in my heat when I shoot it.
Those 38 special wadcutter target guns were the utmost in NRA Bullseye Match shooting when I was doing it in the 1970's , could only dream about owning one back then. That's a real nice one !

Gary
