Bought an EAA SARK2P
The Turks have been making guns for a long time, but I have mostly skipped thier current offerings. I did try an early TP9 and it seemed okay.
For $279 plus tax the local Shiptons had one of the SAR line. It seems like a chopped Turk CZ75 copy with a plastic frame. At that price it came with one mag that is marked as 15 with the last witness hole but advertised widely as a 16 round mag. Also included was a rather thorough manual and cleaning and sight adjustment tools. All in a nice blue plastic hard case.
It snowed yesterday, so I did not get to try it. It does fit fine in a USA made generic fitting Blackhawk holster with mag pouch.
I have a CZ75 SP01. Trigger pull is just plain bad on the Turkish gun in comparison, reminding me of that Sigma I had. Maybe it will improve with use, more lubrication or some sort of tinkering.
So why did I buy it? The 19rd round MecGar CZ75 round mags I have seem to work in this gun. Thus for circa $300 one gets a fairly compact 20 shot 9mm. The Turk mag also seems to work in my CZ. However my 16rd MecGar CZ mags will not work in the Turk, 18 rd CZ factory will and I am told MecGar 17rd mags work.
Weight is much less than the all steel CZ I have, and the chopped barrel length makes it fairly concealable.
I am going to give this gun a chance. The functional controls are the same as my CZ, allowing for either cocked and locked or DA use (if one carefully lowers the hammer.) The price and capacity option were what sold me on it.

Mine is my cheapest & most enjoyable to shoot 9mm I own. And I have three 19 round mags to go along with 16 round mag that came with it (and mine fits 16).
2 of my friends bought theirs from Rural King after I got mine, almost 3 years ago (believe they got them on sale for $259) We all 3 still have em. Mine has over 3000 rds through it now. Without an issue that I can remember off the top of my head.
I think you made a great buy and you'll be happy with it.

This thread is very interesting to me as I have almost bought the SAR K2 in .45ACP several times online but I have not found one locally to actually inspect in person. I like the looks of it and I like the thought of 14 + 1 of .45ACP for a CCW in my vehicle. How is the quailty, fit and finish, trigger? I know the .45 will be different than the 9mm just looking for basic information. I found one online for under $400 shipped and I am tempted.

With an example of one to go by, it shows signs of being a class act. The manual was well done and thorough, the box nicely laid out, and it came with quality cleaning tools. It is stamped "since 1880", so the factory has been in business since the Ottoman days.
I think the trigger on mine has great room for improvement compared to my CZ. But it cost less than half as much.

Thanks for the link LVSteve that helps a lot. Your review reinforces what I have been reading about the pistol.
Gatorfarmer It's good to hear that you like yours. I am mighty close to ordering one.

Were you able to find a holster for yours?
CM9 Black | sarsilmaz.com.tr shows that the factory makes 15rd and 17rd magazines. The magazine included with mine will fit 16, but I believe it was intended to be a 15rd mag. I base that on that being the largest numbered witness hole as well as the maker specs. My worry was that the 16th round might be putting too much pressure on the spring or otherwise be a problem.
Though the use of Mecgar 19rd or CZ factory 18rd mags seems a good option.

The prices on Gunbroker are almost double of what's reported here.
The local gun shops have never heard of them around here.

Got to your local Rural King (if you have one).
Handguns : RK Guns
I usually look at their online store first, and then see if they have one at one of my 3 local RK's.

I use a generic OWB leather paddle holster I got at a local gun show.
I believe mine is only supposed to hold 15 rds as well, but it loads and works with 16... The 19 rd mags with the butt plates are really nice to have.

Wish I could find the K2 45 locally too. Thought the same thing about it - 14 rd capacity, in 45acp, and doesn't cost $700 -$1100. That would be a great deal.
As far as the Sar K2P. The trigger, sites, fit and finish are all pretty good - especially for a $260 pistol.

Prices seem to be going up on these guns. Buds wants $375 now. CDNN still has a sale for $279. I got the last one at the local Shiptons.
