New CZ 1911
Just finished cleaning my new CZ 1911 A1. Did some research on these before buying one, and was impressed with what I read. Made by Dan Wesson with no MIM parts, and only 1000 made. Came across one new for $700 and couldn't pass it up. Yet to take it to the range yet, but looking forward to it.

Nice gun as is and would make a nice base gun for a build. 700 is a good deal.

I'm a fan of my Dan Wesson VBOB. They really are the closest production 1911s to the custom makers.

Did you do a detail strip? Just wondering what the internals look like. I'm thinking real hard about this one.

Just did a basic takedown and clean. The barrel bushing was stuck tight. Had to use a tool to get it turned and then a wood dowel and rubber mallet to knock it loose. The gun came boxed from the factory and drenched in a bag of oil. The internals on this gun looked good, very well made.

How is the thumb safety. Many people report that they are super tight and hard to work. On the few I have put my hands on were too tight. It is not to hard to fix but it is something to check out.

Thumb safety is tight, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I will take it to the range and then decide if I should try and fix it.

It's a tight fit, the gun is extremely well built. The barrel bushing is the tightest I've ever come across. Couldn't turn it by hand and spent a while working it off.

Had a Cz1911 for few months. 300rds of ball shot no stoppages and super accurate. Nice sites and the duty finish is tuff. Nice plain walnut grips. Super tolerances, better than my last two new Colts. My thumb safety has eased up with use and a dab of grease. This are 70 series and only two mim parts the grip safety and mag release button. All forged and barstock and lowered ejection port. She is a pure combat 1911 ,no garbage added. Pure working man's 1911 for business and range.
