Not in person, only in pictures and gun rag articles.
Looks interesting, but I'm not really a Kimber fan so I'll pass.

Same here, only seen them on internet. But I sure like what I see. Beautiful lines and 6 shots. Would love to try one out.

I was very fond of the one I shot. However, since it was a pre-production sample, I am waiting for a production gun to arrive before I totally make up my mind. I do like the recessed cylinder

I expect the Kimber name alone will place this piece above my pay grade. I'll have to muddle thru with my J frames.

The Kimber 45s I have fired have ejected their rounds back to hit me in the head. Accuracy was fine, function was fine, but I like the rounds ejected away from me. The revolver has nice lines. I like the looks but will be very interested in seeing the price. S&W is hard to beat when it comes to revolvers. If the Kimber has a two stage trigger I would be interested in firing one. I doubt it will perform any better or be any more accurate than my Smiths. Good move by Kimber. As you can see by this forum, there are lots of revolver enthusiasts.

I have only seen pictures and videos. It's a beautiful gun and I LOVE the recessed cylinder (the way revolvers use to be made), but I too suspect the price will deter me.

I think it is a very good looking revolver. I'm not a huge fan of kimber, but I do think they designed a great looking gun. But I'm sure it will be out of my price range.

I like Kimber 1911’s. I have 3 of them. My carry choice.
Haven’t seen one yet but I like the looks. Kimber has been known for releasing their new stuff a little early. Hopefully not this one.

I’ve handled samples both at SHOT Show and ones that came in for T&E. Personally, they do nothing for me and with an $899 MSRP, I find it lacking in many ways. Not at all what I would spend $899 on!

MSRP is right up there with some others like the Ruger MC and the Smith 340. I have a 640Pro and a 442 I like Centennial type carry guns, steel in 357.
Waiting to see street price and if the DS speedloader fits!

You can buy 2 Ruger SP101s for that price. In fact, the Kimber looks largely like a Ruger.

I wonder how many MIM parts will be in them and or investment cast. Wonder if anyone will even care. After all look at the name.

I've been seeing various new J frames for way less money than that... I'll stay with my S&W's & old Colt Agent... I suspect that the Kimber will be seen in showcases for several hundred less than the suggested retail price though.
At one point when they'd first came out...Kimber's 1911's were built so tight for accuracy, that they seized up/bound up when they got hot & dirty after firing even a few mags very quickly thru them... fitting a slightly looser barrel bushing & a skoosh shorter barrel link & using some good wheel bearing grease on the rails helped to cure this.. I sure hope Kimber remembered those teething pains when they designed this revolver...

The Kimber is too pricey for me, considering what you're getting. I'll stick with my M638 which cost me less than 1/2 the price of the Kimber.

With the MSRP $899 wouldn't that put the street price closer to $650 - $700?

That's about right. Even still, that's a bit pricey for me. If I wanted a .357 I would just get a SP101 for about $550...saving myself ~$100.

I've heard through the grapevine that these Kimber revolvers are being made by Manurhin and simply imported by Kimber. If that's the case, it could explain the slight sticker shock, but might also be indicative of a very high quality gun. Time will tell, I suppose.

Caj, thanks for asking, I've been wondering the same thing.
Most manufacturers suggested retail prices are lower on the shelf, unless it's 1980 and a Model 29.
I have had many 1911's, many were good. I have 2 Colt National Match 1911's, a 1959 and a 1966. I also found 500 or so rounds of NOS WW 180 grain match 45 acp bullets. Using match ammo in the Colts do not come close to my early Kimber Match 1911 using cheap hardball.
I do like my Kimber, wouldn't trade it for anther NM. I also have 2 Kimber M-84's in 7mm-08. Very high quality rifles. Both are very accurate, they are light and handy, they steal time from our pre 64 M-70's.
MIM and all there are no flies on a Kimber. I like the looks of this and some one mentioned closer to 700 bucks might be the selling price.
I do like my S&W's, but that Kimber revolver looks like they designed it inside a pocket. I have a Colt Competition 45 1911 on my list, the Kimber may earn the 1st buy.
Mae West once said in a movie, is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just glad to see me. The looks of the Kimber would fill both thoughts for me.

If that's truly the case, then the price tag is probably appropriate.
I'd still be concerned with Kimbers reputation for customer service.

I don't buy a Smith if I am in the market for an auto and I don't buy a Kimber if I am in the market for a revolver

I have several S&W revolvers. My oldest is a 38 special that is 40 years old and still shoots fine. I have a Performance Center 500, and a 44 mag. All if these are fine and time-tested proven guns. I don't get why anybody gets excited about a pistol manufacturer's decision to dabble with revolvers.

It has been reported that Grant Cunningham, the prominent revolversmith oversaw the build of the K6s. It's a serious self defense Revolver with the design of the grip and frame, DA only, 10 pound trigger, windage adjustable rear sight and pinned front sight, plus six rounds in 357. That front sight can be replaced with a night sight . Looks to have the makings of a great revolver! Marketing will be another story!

Sounds good from what I have read. To the best of my knowledge it does not have a locking type nuisance on it. Price is not too far out of line AFAIC! Heck I paid decent money on a “old” Colt Cobra .38 (with shroud) not too long ago.
When they hit my LGS I will give it a check out and a good chance it will find a home in my safe or perhaps even go all the way to a CCW.

I have handled one at the IWA at Nurnberg. I was impressed. The action is very smoot. I like the flat sides of the cilinder. I do want one.

All those sharp angles spell p-a-i-n for the shooter. Will be interesting to see how it goes...

Priced a 640 Pro lately? I don't think the Ruger's price is out of line.

I asked a local Kimber dealer if he would be carrying the revolver and he felt it was too expensive. When I pointed out that they would cost about the same as the S&W 686's he kept in stock he seemed a bit surprised at that. Now he's looking into what they would cost and may reconsider. Personally I think that it's an interesting revolver but would probably wait for a blued version. Because while almost all of my revolvers are stainless I am really liking the 2 1/2 inch 19-3 I picked up a few months back. In fact that 19-3 is becoming my favorite revolver to shoot.
